How Bigfoot Pest Management Does Pest Control

We take a legendary approach to pest control in the Washington area at Bigfoot Pest Management. At the heart of our service plans and pest control techniques is Integrated Pest Management (IPM), which is a comprehensive and environmentally friendly strategy that allows us to minimize the impact on your surroundings while providing effective pest control.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

At its core, IPM is a science-based decision making process that takes an eco-friendly stance on pest management and pest control techniques. Integrated Pest Management is effective in the act of preventing large-scale property damage caused by pests, minimizing risk to the environment and your family, and reducing general resistance to pesticides and other pest management techniques.

Here are some key elements of IPM:

Ecosystem-Based Approach

IPM recognizes that the relationship between what we consider pests, beneficial organisms, and the environment around them. This understanding is fundamental to effective, eco-friendly pest management.

Pest Prevention at the Forefront

The primary focus of Integrated Pest Management is preventing any pest infestations before they occur. Essentially, this boils down to creating unfavorable conditions for pests through proper sanitation, habitation modification, etc.

Thresholds for Professional Action

There are predetermined action thresholds that will trigger professional intervention based on a given pest population. Professional pest control action is taken when pest levels exceed what’s acceptable environmentally or economically, allowing us to avoid unnecessary treatments.

Least-Toxic Chemical Usage

If chemical pest control is necessary, choosing to use the solution with the least environmental impact is a must. Pesticides are selected carefully based on their specificity, minimal impact on non-target organisms, and general environmental safety.

Stink Bug Control Service Areas

Stink bugs might not be dangerous, but they are a massive headache once they find their way inside your walls. In the South Sound, these seasonal invaders are experts at finding tiny cracks to crawl through as the weather cools down. At Bigfoot Pest Control, we provide specialized exterior treatments and exclusion services to keep your home odor-free and pest-free.

We are proud to serve the following Washington communities:
